OVOP this event opened with speeches by Representative SIKIB Ms. Rajasa Okke, Mr. Obar Soburna as Regent Bandung

Local yet global
OVOP must develop products that have received their competitiveness and the global market but also must have a reflection of local culture, as well as to respond to environmental issues is happening right now these products should be environmentally friendly and go green.

Self-reliance and creativity
Realize products through independent efforts in optimizing the potential and natural resources-its human resources, so that after the training was completed the area can be independently develop products and business.

Seminar from Masato Kuroda
“How to make OVOP project well developed”
In the seminar, Mr. Fukuroda shares with the participants also rupin administrators on how to improve the quality of the production of an item that promotes their villages. So that OVOP project can be efficient.

Site Visit to Rupin (Rumah Pintar)

Ms. Okke Hatarajasa introduce participants to the children in the Rupin and programs are implemented there.

Site Visit to Rumah Kebun
The farmers have received training by Japanese farmers in Lembang. Also planted the seeds which also came from Japan. The result is more fresh vegetables growing, larger, durable and resistant to rain. Participants also learned about the process of planting and harvesting there.

Site Visit to Rumah Kemasan
There, participants learned about how the process of selecting the ripe vegetables and how to make good packaging of the product.

Seminar from Masato Kuroda
“Exploiting and enrich the unused resources”

He explained about the rest of the disposal of the production process can be used as resources to create other byproducts. Not only the topsoil, but the rest of the pieces of plants can be an art. With creativity and innovation, unused resources can be made into useful goods and value-added

Site Visit to Cattle Ranch
At the cattle, the participants learned the retrieval process of cow’s milk. Participants were being showed how to extract cow’s milk and collect them, as well as the way farmers treat livestock animals, and the selling price of cows and maintenance costs such as cattle food. Participants were also invited to taste fresh cow’s milk from the farm.

Generating Idea
The participants collaborate to share ideas they had in the development of their villages. To learn from each other in developing the villages become more effective and efficient.

Site Visit to the Tea Garden
The participants learned the functions and ways of handling the tea that is applied in the tea garden. The participants can learn the best ways of handling tea products.
Participants also learned the development of the tea business that already run at the tea garden. Participants learned the steps about tea business development.

Presentation
Participants were asked to make a presentation on learned lesson from the previous 3-day meeting to share knowledge with other participants. They also created a Business Plan of OVOP future development projects in rural industries

Next Gathering
The participants were planning to hold an upcoming meeting to be able to communicate with each other. They plan to connect all Rupin in Indonesia. In the next gathering, SI serves as a facilitator.

SIKIB is an association of community activists peberdayaan, was first established to respond to the tsunami that hit Aceh in 2004.

The participant consist of 30 persons which are the representatives of 3 selected Rumah Pintar.

Training units in OVOP:

• Ciwidey, with Aditya Wicaksono speaker engaged in agriculture.
• Cikeas, with the cooperation by the foundation IPB tunggadewi and businesses engaged in fungi.
• Pacitan, which moves in micro batik.
